Whenever people are put off by my writing about the macabre, I'm reminded of a Stephen King quote:
"I'm not evil, I have the heart of a little boy... It's in a jar on my desk."
I began "Heske Horror" as a way to self-publish my dark horror short scripts in 2008. After completing 3 indie comic "floppies", an award-winning anthology, and an "end times" tome with contributions from leading comic creators, this one-man shop is poised for big things unless a comet or blue star crashes into Earth.
First, my full-color vampire OGN, The Night Projectionist is now available most places comics are sold including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, ComiXology, Graphicly and iTunes. I have also written the screenplay which has been optioned by Myriad Pictures and is currently being funded and packaged. In other news, I have written and produced a micro-budget feature film called BLESSID. Watch out for this little screen gem!
I am a quasi-frequent guest on podcasts, radio shows, conventions, and author events. I am a member of the New England Horror Writers (NEHW) association. I pen a periodic column on Invest Comics called IndieCreator. Last but not least, I am the father of two amazingly cute little girls and the husband of an uber-patient wife who can't quite fathom "what happened to the nice guy who used to write comedy when we were dating?!"

Best in Horror 2009
I am mentioned in the lengthy introduction of the book ("Introduction: Horror in 2009").
Editor Stephen Jones mentions my two anthologies on page 61 (Bone Chiller and 2012: Final Prayer) which were both released in 2009.
You can buy the book on Amazon.
